Positive: Flew to Knoxville TYS from Texas. Flight (on American) that was supposed to leave TX at 8:25am and arrive in TN after a stop in Dallas never actually happened. Delay after delay led to canceling and switching to United. Originally scheduled to arrive in TN at 2:00pm and did not arrive until almost 9pm. These travel plans were made in February. Kept the Holiday Inn informed of my schedule changes as I did not want to lose the room and they were most helpful. Flew to Knoxville for a concert at The Shed in Maryville, a terrific music venue near TYS and the Holiday Inn. Other concert goers also stayed at the same hotel. Checked in after the concert because I drove directly from TYS to The Shed. Still had a room which was clean, comfortable, etc. Went downtown to another nightclub called Three Doors Down which serves food until 1:30am and had great live music. Holiday Inn & Suites is a great choice for accommodations in the Knoxville / Maryville area! There are plenty of dining options near the hotel if you get there earlier.

Negative: We did get any hot water for the shower. When I mentioned it to the front desk, we expected a small discount as hot water in a hotel seems to be the basics. But nothing came up. A little disappointing!!
