In the south of Crete near Triopetra, with sweeping views of the Libyan Sea, stands the Petra Mare property with pool on a large lawned plot. The name ‘Stone Sea’ refers to the main components of the property. Two solidly built semi-detached stone houses, another stone house with two flats and a detached house with a shared pool and wonderful sea views make up this beautiful property.
The Petra Mare semi-detached houses are located approx. 10 metres apart, approx. 40 to 60 metres from the two-storey stone house and another detached house at the edge of the plot. Each Petra Mare semi-detached house consists of a larger and a smaller half. A large, enclosed, flat lawn and garden plot, overgrown with trees and plants of the Cretan flora surrounds the beautiful Petra Mare property. The approx. 50sqm large, oval and shared pool (approx. 5 x 10m and 1.20 to 1.80m deep, not heatable, in operation from 1.05.-31.10.) with sun loungers and parasols offers its small and large guests enjoyable bathing fun, relaxation and refreshment on some hot days.
The functionally furnished semi-detached house Petra Mare 3 is slightly offset, directly next to the semi-detached house Petra Mare 4, which is occasionally used by the landlords. Two-storey semi-detached house with covered, wind-protected entrance terrace. On the raised ground floor, approx. 7 steps from the garden, is the kitchen with dining table. This is followed by the bathroom and a bedroom with direct access to its own covered terrace with beautiful views of the garden and the sea. The kitchen leads directly onto the entrance terrace. On the upper floor there is a bathroom and a large bedroom with its own covered terrace with wonderful views of the Libyan Sea and the surrounding coastal landscape.
What awaits you in this corner of the south coast of Crete is peace, seclusion, a Mediterranean, rural idyll, a charming coastal landscape, great sandy beaches and a very clean sea. The nearest village, Akoumia, is approx. 10 km away and Spili, where you will find a wide range of shops, is just under 20 km away. There are several tavernas directly on the large Triopetra and small Triopetra beach, approx. 2 to 2.5 km from the Petra Mare houses.

Summary: The right place if you want to explore the south of the island. Nice and not crowded branches around the accommodation. Due to the high wind we haven't enjoyed enough the pool and the sea view.

Summary: Eine wunderschöne Wohnanlage, man hat dort komplett seine Ruhe. Wir waren jetzt zum siebten Mal hier und werden immer wieder zu Besuch kommen. Die Umgebung ist herrlich, wunderbare Natur. Die dort ansässigen Menschen sind sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Sie haben bei uns einen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlassen.

Summary: Schöne Lage und gutes Ambiente! Wir haben uns sehr wohl dort gefühlt, das Haus war sehr angenehm und sicher auch für 2 Paare oder Eltern mit 2 Kindern geeignet. Unser Eindruck war, dass die Besitzer sich sehr viel Mühe geben. Der Pool ist schön, um sich zu erfrischen. Da es Natur bedingt dort auch (harmlose) Insekten gibt, die im Pool landen, liegt immer ein Käscher bereit, um diese heraus zu fischen. Der Besitzer ist ca. alle 2 Tage dort, um den Pool zu reinigen! Der Strand Triopetra ist mit dem Auto in 5Min. erreichbar und einer der schönsten, die wir auf unseren Rundfahrten gesehen hatten., allerdings wird es im Meer schnell tief, d.h. man kann nicht weit "hineinlaufen" (mit kleinen Kindern aufpassen!). Zu Fuß dürften es ca. 15/20 Min. bis zum Strand sein. Auf alle Fälle empfehlenswert!!! Uns hat es sehr gut bei Ihnen gefallen! Ein Toaster wäre noch schön gewesen und eine manuelle Espressomaschine (Espressokocher). Letzteres ist vermutlich nebensächlich. Und 2-3 Aufbewahrungsboxen in unterschiedlichen Größen für Lebensmittel im Kühlschrank wären auch gut. Sonst alles gut und Danke!!!

Summary: Petra mare ist eine wunderschöne kleine ruhige und idyllische Anlage mit traumhaften Blick auf das lybische Meer. Leider lässt die Sauberkeit und Ausstattung zu Wünschen übrig. Geschirr (wir haben nur gefrühstückt) war nicht genügend vorhanden (für 3 Personen nur 2 Kaffeetassen mit immerhin einem Untersetzer). Zum Eierkochen gab es nur einen Topf mit einem Volumen von 5 Litern. In der vorhandenen Kaffeemaschine war der Filter verschimmelt. Der Sandwichmaker war dermassen zerkratzt - gehört dringend ersetzt. Die Reinigung beim Einzug des oberen Bades wahr spärlich und auch der Staub unter dem Bett imoberen Stockwerk wurde wohl schon länger nicht mehr entfernt (fällt einem sofort ins Auge, wenn mam die Treppen hochkommt). Alles in allem waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Wir sind bereits zum 5x auf Kreta und hatten wohl bisher im Glück mit unseren Ferienwohnungen oder Studios.

Summary: wunderschöne Gegend mit traumhaften Stränden, Das Haus ist einfach ausgestattet, hat einen tollen Blick auf Meer und Berge und einen wunderschönen gemeinsamen Garten und Pool. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und frei gefühlt. Der Verwalter ist sehr freundlich und bemüht.
