The detached stone house Amathianis is set in a beautiful hillside location above the bay of Triopetra and offers a unique view across the southern coast of Crete and the Libyan Sea. The holiday house was named after the old district of Amathianis and is set in beautiful and quiet surroundings. The detached two-storey house is tastefully and comfortably furnished following the architecture of old Cretan farmhouses. There are several terraces, some in a sunny spot and some roofed with a pergola, that invite you to relax and chill and enjoy the wide open view across the sea. The large and enclosed nature property is partly terraced, covered with Mediterranean plants and olive trees and provides options for withdrawal and retreat.
Since the property is terraced it has a ground-level entrance to the first floor while the basement hosts some storage/utility rooms. From the outside the house looks rather rustic and country-style which matches the stone walls and the modern interior. From the living room you have a spectacular view across the hilly landscape of southern Crete and the blue sea. The spacious living room is connected to the half-open kitchen with a dining area. From the living room you have access to both bedrooms with a shared bath. The perfect spot to watch unforgettable sunsets is the private terrace in front of the living room. The roofed terrace is facing south-west and is wind-sheltered and privacy screened. Towards the side of the holiday house and on level further down there is another terrace with sunbeds.
There is lots of space for quality time together with family or friends to enjoy cooking, chilling and simply relax. Tranquillity, a comfortable living ambience, Mediterranean country idyll, spectacular views, magnificent sandy beaches and a very clean sea and a charming coastal landscape, is what you can expect in the holiday house Amathianis.

Summary: The way to arrive at the house in the night was difficult, the GPS gives us a quicker way but not the on of Jassu and we arrive to Akoumia on a wrong way !! But it was forgotten the next day with the quality of the place, view on the sea, so quiet and pleasant. And the owner family will be so generous.

Summary: Wir hatten ein schönen Urlaub,tolles Haus mit schöner Aussicht. Im Haus war alles vorhanden was man so brauchte. Sehr nette Vermieter,immer hilfsbereit. Ruhige Umgebung, genau was wir wollten. Toller Strand in der Nähe.

Summary: Wie immer war es ein wunderbarer Urlaub an der Südküste. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne, die Vermieter sind sehr nett und kümmern sich sofort um alles Nötige, falls erforderlich. Von besonderem Wert war auch diesmal, dass man auch im Häuschen gemütlich sitzen kann, was durchaus nicht bei allen Ferienhäusern der Fall ist. Gerade im Herbst ist das Wetter am Abend mitunter kühl, da lernt man ein gemütliches Plätzchen zu schätzen. Auch die regendichte Terrasse ist von einigem Wert, auch die findet man nicht überall. Summary: Wir haben einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt im Haus Amathianis erlebt. Das Haus ist viel geräumiger, als aufgrund der Fotos zu erahnen ist. Es wurde uns bei Anreise super sauber übergeben. Summary: The house was fantastic: clean, confortable, full of sun and with a breathtaking landscape. There is a wide open space where kids can safely play and adults can drink or eat something looking at the sunset or simply relax. The Landlords were of a unique kindness and made all was in their means to make our holiday unforgettable. It is highly reccomended. Summary: Casa accogliente e ben arredata con vista magnifica. È un piacere risiedervi anche solo per restare in soggiorno o sotto il portico a leggere e guardare il mare, circondati dal verde del giardino e del pendio della collina. Con pochi minuti in auto si raggiunge la spiaggia di Triopetra e rappresenta un comodo punto di partenza per esplorare la costa meridionale dell’isola. L’abbiamo lasciata con gratitudine e rimpianto.

Summary: Das Feriendomizil war wundervoll. Wir wurden sehr nett von der Vermieterin empfangen und haben uns herzlich willkommen gefühlt. Die Vermieterin wohnt mit ihrer Familie nicht unweit vom Haus entfernt, so dass bei Bedarf auch Ansprechpersonen in der Nähe sind. Sie spricht sehr gut Englisch und die Kommunikation verlief sehr gut. Das Haus ist traumhaft und die Aussicht unglaublich. In einer ruhigen und eher abgelegenen Lage ließ es sich gut entspannen. Alle Fenster und Türen sind zudem mit Fliegengittern ausgestattet. In den beiden Schlafzimmern befinden sich jeweils Klimaanlagen. Das üppige Außengelände sowie die Terasse laden zu schönen Abenden unter freiem Himmel ein. Zudem gibt es eine Außendusche, welche nach einem Strandtag oder zur Abkühlung von Vorteil ist. Insgesamt eine tolle Erfahrung, gerne wieder.

Summary: Herausragend schönes Haus, unglaublich freundliche und sehr gastfreundliche Besitzer. Kommunikation 1A. Das Haus liegt bekanntermaßen recht abgeschieden, genau deshalb wollten wir dahin. Der Strand ist auch definitiv nicht überfüllt.

Summary: Schönes Haus und sehr freundliche Vermieter, und endlich auch mal ein Haus, in welchem man auch drinnen gemütlich sitzen kann, dieses Jahr war es kühler als sonst, und wir waren gezwungen abends oft im Haus zu bleiben. Sehr schön ruhig gelegen, sauber und gepflegt. Das Doppelbett ist etwas schmal, allerdings verkraftet man das im Urlaub schon mal. Terrasse ist regendicht überdacht, sehr angenehm, das haben wir in vielen anderen Häusern schon anders erlebt. Wir freuen uns schon auf nächstes Jahr.
