Summary: A fantastic gite in a beautiful setting. This is a very comfortable property with large gardens and private swimming pool. Numerous outside seating areas to enjoy the weather and scenery. The host, Eve is most charming and very discreet. Would love to return.

Summary: If you are searching for a moment in paradise- hereby! Super clean, super pool, super garden and a super host. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every second. The house and garden are so big that you could get lost. The house is highly recommended ( we family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 kids) and once again a great host

Summary: Our holiday here was peaceful bliss! A real gem in a tranquil rural setting. Well equipped with lots of games and books and all amenities you'd expect from a top class accommodation. Eve is a caring and friendly host, tending to the garden discreetly and always respectful of our privacy. Eve even left us umbrellas on a day when rain was forecast. There are bikes of various sizes available to use, which is a lovely touch. Our only regret is that we didn't book to stay for longer!

Summary: Great place for a getaway! The house had everything we needed and was really clean, I loved the outdoor dining area, I mean, who doesn’t love barbecuing under the stars? The only thing was the WiFi could be a bit spotty at times, but honestly, it was nice to unplug, Would definitely come back for another chill weekend!

Summary: We had a lovely 2 weeks at the villa, hosted wonderfully by Eve, who very discretely keeps the garden looking lovely throughout your stay. The photos don't do this place justice, the house is large and well appointed, and the very large garden is wonderful with lovely flowers, and lots of little hidden areas that the children loved playing in.

Summary: Oh, Eve. Wat heb je een prachtig vakantiehuis. Dit was het duurste vakantiehuis dat we tot dusver ooit hebben geboekt. Dat wekt de nodige verwachtingen. Maar dit vakantiehuis maakt dit meer dan waar. La Forêt-de-Tesse is een idyllisch plaatje waar de tijd stil lijkt te hebben gestaan. Een oude kerk en een begraafplaats duiden het vakantiehuis van Eve aan. Bij aankomst worden we begroet door Eve, die zich verontschuldigt voor haar matige beheersing van de Engelse taal. Zij kan zich echter prima uitdrukken, tijdens de rondleiding en ook tijdens het verdere verblijf. Na een korte rondleiding mochten wij onze spullen binnen zetten en de voormalige boerderij verkennen. De woning heeft op de begane grond een ruime, hoge woonkamer, een keuken die toegang biedt tot de Marokkaanse tuin en een badkamer met toilet en douche. De eerste verdieping heeft drie slaapkamers (een met twijfelaar, een met twee éénpersoonsbedden en een kleine kamer met een éénpersoonsbed) en een badkamer met toilet en bad. Het huis staat VOL met bordspellen en Engelstalige romans. Ook als het regent, hoef je je niet te vervelen. Het huis bleef zelfs tijdens heel warme dagen lekker koel, mits je netjes alle ramen dicht liet overdag. De buitenruimte is heel groot. Vlak voor de hoofdingang van het huis is een overdekte stenen veranda met een grote zespersoonstafel, een tafelvoetbal(tafel) en een kolenbarbecue. Neem de trap naar beneden en je komt bij het ruime zwembad met ligbedden en een overdekt zitgedeelte met glazen tafel. Als je verder gaat dwalen, kom je uit bij een pergola met ijzeren bankje, omgeven door fruitbomen en ander groen. Overal vind je plekjes om te zitten en spellen te spelen of een wijntje te drinken. Loop je door, dan kom je in de Marokkaanse tuin met een overdekte bar, een stenen rand met kussen om op te zitten en een grote eettafel om onder het groen te genieten van een maaltijd. In de omgeving zijn veel activiteiten te ondernemen. Wij waren echter zo blij met de absolute rust en de luxe van het huisje, dat wij niet veel verder gekomen zijn dan een paar korte reisjes naar dorpen in de buurt. En het zwembad. Oh, dat zwembad. Mocht je toch activiteiten willen ondernemen, kijk dan vooral naar de berg folders in de woonkamer. Eve is een gastvrouw die anders is dan wij gewend zijn, in positieve zin. Meestal zijn eigenaren zeer aanwezig. Eve biedt echter heel veel privacy aan haar gasten. Zij woont in het huis naast de vakantiewoning en je deelt de oprit met haar. Toch zal je je best moeten doen om haar per ongeluk tegen het lijf te lopen. Zij is 's ochtends vooral bezig met het voorbereiden van het zwembad en het uitvoeren van kleine werkzaamheden, 's avonds geeft zij de planten water. Als je haar niet wilt tegenkomen, dan hoeft dat absoluut niet. Zij is echter wel heel sociaal en is altijd bereikbaar als je haar nodig hebt. Als je ergens vragen over hebt of je hebt iets nodig, dan is zij altijd te benaderen en altijd heel vriendelijk. Zij heeft ons verblijf absoluut nóg beter gemaakt, ondanks dat zij (ten tijde van schrijven) het huisje nog maar enkele maanden in bezit heeft. Wij waren zeer tevreden met ons verblijf in dit vakantiehuisje en zouden hier graag nog eens terugkomen!
