Other Policy The garden café is currently operating a limited service for food & beverage. breakfast is continental only, grab and go breakfast can also be provided on request. full english country breakfast is served on saturdays and sundays. we also offer a small selection of hot, soft and alcoholic drinks. please contact the property for further information. we do not currently have a bar or restaurant available in the manor house building, we are able to accommodate small toy dogs (under 10kg) on request in our garden rooms only. a supplement of £20.00 per night is applicable and paid direct to the property on check in. dogs are not permitted in the club, the hayloft spa or garden café for hygiene reasons. please inform us in advance if you will be brining a dog. please note cats or any other type of pet will not be accommodated under any circumstances. guide & service dogs are exempt from this policy and charges on production of correct paperwork, the garden double rooms are located in a separate annex building and not the main manor house. not recommended for lone female travelers, children's swimming times are as follows: monday to friday 4pm to 5pm, saturday and sunday 9.30am till 10.30am and 4pm till 5pm.please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. you can use the special requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation, if you require an invoice when booking a prepaid rate, write this and your company details in the special requests box, in the event of an early departure, the property will charge you the full amount for your stay, this property might host on-site functions, so noise may be audible in some rooms, this property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties, when booking half board, note that drinks are not included, it's recommended to bring your own vehicle since this property is not serviced by public transportation, guests are required to show a photo id and credit card upon check-in. please note that all special requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply, guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Positive: Over all the room and facilities were good

Negative: Was charged £15 for my 4yo's breakfast, all she had was a bowl of cornflakes, not sure how any child would managed to eat an adults portion but is still expected to pay adults price

Positive: Not really for me, entrance is through leisure side when they have a beautiful entrance at maun building, no restaurant,only did light bites, attendant didn't know how to do smoothes although on the menu, garden cafe has air con but no door handle to enter from the garden, breakfast was a mess, had to ask for cutlery as none on the table, orange juice jug was empty, no plates for toast, hunt to find salt and pepper pots, staff were looking busy but not really doing anything and cafe wasn't that busy, found the guests more friendly than the staff, won't stay again or recommend

Positive: Lovely stately manor set in beautiful grounds. The spa treatments were excellent and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a garden room with twin beds, the room had a kitchette, bathroom and bedroom with a patio area too. Beds were really comfortable. Will definitely be returning.

Positive: Lovely stay at the Holbrook. It's not a traditional hotel but a wedding venue and Spa. Lovely setting. Check in was at the Club reception - the spa's. Good sized family room and good standard bathroom.

Negative: Lack of hotel restaurant for dinner - the Garden cafe does light bites only and cream teas. It would be helpful to have a list of local recommended places to eat in advance this being the case. Clarity about breakfast at check-in. Breakfast is in the Garden Cafe and was continental. Cooked breakfast is available but needs to be booked in advance. This could be communicated better. Could be a tidier guest experience if you are not a wedding guest or spa customer as basic hotel guests do seem to fall through the cracks with communication a bit.

Positive: Location was ideal for Wincanton Racecourse Rock and Ribs festival.Room was huge and very comfortable. Great gym.

Negative: Hotel could have been more helpful with booking taxis. It was a busy weekend and thought to message the hotel ahead of our stay but got a very generic response then same thing when checking in. Most hotels have taxi contacts so was surprised this one didn't.

Summary: Comfy stay. Wincanton Racecourse. Rock n Ribs.

Positive: Loved the swimming pool and jacuzzi Everywhere was very clean Room was large and comfortable

Negative: No staff available for a massage (I should have booked beforehand!!) If being REALLY fussy - maybe would be special to have welcome gifts for special occasions -i.e. It was our Ruby anniversary

Negative: Torn sheet on the skirt of the divan base. Shower and bath a little tired looking with rust. Carpets grubby.
