Positive: The cottage was warm and comfortable. The snow and ice meant it was very cold outside but was cosy inside. All we might need had been provided with careful thought.

Negative: Only the weather outside.

Positive: Location was very good;quiet but convenient. Property in very good condition,tastefully appointed,well equipped and comfortable. Welcome pack was generous. Everything in the cottage was of good quality. Host Jan was very pleasant,helpful and friendly.

Negative: There was nothing i didn't like.

Positive: Clean; comfortable bed, good cooker, plenty of supplies. Good shower. Responsive fast central heating. TV rotating mount. Sonos wifi sound system. A short walk into town. No pets policy.

Negative: No dishwasher. (Most high spec cottages have a dishwasher nowadays.) The shower room and mirror steam up quickly, even with the window and door ajar. The large screen smart TV is over complex with too many sub-menus that make it so hard to navigate. The No Pets policy helps maintain a clean place. Not everyone appreciates other peoples' pets! However, the owner's dog runs free around the grounds and can surprise you unawares barking.

Positive: This bungalow was 5*plus. Everything was absolutely top quality and there was nothing that we needed that wasn`t supplied, very well thought out design and layout. Jan was the most pleasant and friendly host, we chatted like we`d known each other for years. There were all those extra little touches that turn great into fabulous such as the Easter chocolates, milk in the fridge, condiments and a lovely selection of beverages. The furniture was super comfortable(I`m a bit fussy with sofas) but this was spotless. A truly beautiful place to stay....we will definitely go back.

Negative: I am really struggling to find anything here to say....... the absolutely only thing I can think of is a squidgy thing in the shower to wipe away the residual water after showering, I like to do this as it helps reduce damp and mould forming( there wasn`t any mould or damp) To be honest I suspect most people may not bother with it even if there is one but I would use it out of courtesy.

Summary: An absolutely stunning find that is worth every single penny. Truly 5*plus with delightful hosts.
