Positive: We had to cancel the second night under agreement with the owner & I believe we have only been refunded for 1 room when we had paid for 2

Negative: I would like a refund for both rooms

Positive: Great rooms, good swimming pool, friendly and competent staff, cultural events in the hotel

Negative: Main restaurant wasn’t great. Breakfast was limited and lunch was a recast of breakfast. Needs to be a lot better. The hotel is somewhat isolated from the town.

Positive: The size of the room, so clean, spacious bathroom, and the view. The breakfast was lovely and relaxing.

Negative: Staff did not adequately speak English which made the entire stay a challenge. Many tried, which was appreciated. Essentially, there is only one dining choice. The meal choices don’t change within a weeks’ time and the in room dining is equally limiting. We stayed for a week and often had to drive off site to dine while many neighboring hotels have multiple choices. The website suggested renting bikes. We rented them but the tires were flat and staff had no bike path map to direct guests.

Summary: Lovely hotel for 2-3 nights. Would NOT recommend it for those who don’t speak Japanese.
