Positive: lovely location, beautifully decorated incorporated old with new

Negative: lack of recycling Post office literally on other side of door so could hear everyone coming and going

Summary: very relaxing, comfortable, good base for our break

Positive: Breakfast was adequate. The loaf of fresh hot bread on the first day was a pleasant surprise but didnt last the four day we were there. The bed was comfortable.

Negative: The layout of the house and the steps between the bedroom and the living area of the house. One bathroom to be shared by four adults was not the best and the distance from the second bedroom to the bathroom is too far and involves too many steps

Summary: The Old Post Office was comfortable, but not reallysuited to people with mobility issues

Positive: Breakfast supplies were very comprehensive: eggs, bacon, juice, pod coffee machine, home made bread delivered at 8am straight out of the oven, wide choice of cereal. Beds were comfortable with electric blanket. Lots of room: large bedrooms, lounge, dining room, laundry and huge bathroom. Total of 3 inverters to keep the entire place warm in winter or cool in summer. Everything was well maintained and clean. Complimentary bottle of wine as well (choice between white or red).

Negative: Hot plates could do with a clean with Cerapol. Needs a new non stick frypan.

Summary: Enjoyed the accommodation, the pub dinners and Martindale Hall

Positive: The delicious, warm freshly baked bread took me back to my childhood. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped with everything you could need plus a good range of teas and coffee, and the fridge was stocked with yummy supplies for breakfast.

Negative: Keep in mind that there are some steps to negotiate inside. These are well lit though (and a sensor light ensures this for any middle of the night movements as well) and there are sturdy handrails.

Summary: Very special. A beautiful, well-presented, lovely place to stay.

Positive: Historic charm and character of the Mintaro Post office. Comfort of the fireplace. Hosts provided the ingredients for a delicious cooked breakfast. We loved the short walk to the Magpie & Stump hotel for dinner.

Summary: Character filled residence in a perfect location to enjoy the delights of the Clare Valley.
