Negative: A dishwasher.
Summary: A perfect haven for a relaxing getaway.

Positive: A very special place, set in 100 acres all to yourselves. There are bushwalking tracks right at your doorstep. The hand built stone cottage itself is fascinating! Every part of the house tells a story. Owner is a pleasure to deal with, very generous and hospitable (but giving us complete privacy). A short drive to all the main cellar doors.
Negative: (We didn't dislike it but just a note for others:) We had a 4WD so driving up the dirt road to the house was a breeze. If you have a 2WD with low clearance, try to arrive during the day.
Summary: Magical stay

Positive: We felt welcomed from the get go in our correspondence with Lisa. The house and setting were utterly tranquil. The cottage was decorated with a lot of thought and charm. Breakfast provisions were generous. We felt rejuvenated at the end of our stay. It was interesting to read about the history of the site in the Trestrail book, which had lots of great pictures and commentary.
Negative: A few too many spiders, but that's what you get when you're out in nature!
