Positive: The hotel is located right by the ocean and the view is absolutely stunning. Waking up to the ocean view was one of the highlights of our stay. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The territory of the hotel with petting zoo, a big swimming pool and plenty of space to walk and relax. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance but they don't speak English.
Negative: There are many activities for younger children (around 10 years old and under), but for older kids there is not much to do. The hotel has a family game room, but unfortunately it was not operating during our stay. It would be great if the hotel added some simple outdoor activities, for example a table tennis table or similar games, so older children and teenagers would also have something to enjoy.

Positive: Jerry, head of guest services, was kind, attentive, and attempted to make up for poor experience. Jerry upgraded our room after many failed attempts of making up for the poor experience. Karen, also in customer service, apologized for only having one pool available. To make up for the lack of swimming, she told us we could enjoy free drinks in the lobby bar from 6-8 PM every day. The first night we went to have drinks and after drinking from 6-8 were told that only the nonalcoholic drinks were free. Lobby bar staff were attentive, caring, and always smiling.
Negative: Of the five pools described on their website, only one of the outdoor pools was open. The pool is a wading pool (less than 4 feet). It could get quite crowded and loud. Other pools were closed for unknown reasons. We were not told during booking or check in that the pools were closed. Staff laughed and said they’d been closed for six years. Karen, also in customer service, apologized for only having one pool available. To make up for the lack of swimming, she told us we could enjoy free drinks in the lobby bar from 6-8 PM every day. The first night we went to have drinks and after drinking from 6-8 were told that only the nonalcoholic drinks were free. Of the three restaurants described on their website, one was completely closed. The other two were running out of food. Every time we ordered we were told they didn’t have at least half of the food we ordered. By the end of our ten days, we could only order the club sandwich. One time it took more than an hour to receive three club sandwiches. Again, the staff laughed and said sorry. We ordered the SAME breakfast to the room three times throughout our stay and the price ranged from 135 to 295. Unfortunately it wasn’t worth it to argue because upon checkout one of the front desk staff looked in disgust and asked a colleague (in Chinese), “What are the foreigners doing here?”

Negative: Outdoors swimming pool was closed even when the weather was good for it.
