Positive: The restaurant on the top floor was excellent. Sarah, the manager was so kind to us while the hotel was in a fire drill soon after we checked in. Thank you.

Positive: The hotel is in a good location and about 200m from the line 1 Metro and 400m from the Western gate of Lanzhou University. The hotel is very comfortable with all of the expected services. The breakfast is wide ranging and top quality - the coffee is very good. The Yun dinner which I did once was excellent. The welcome from staff was as expected.

Negative: The window had a minor defect and needs to be properly sealed as there is a whistle during high winds. Minor quibble - young staff were a bit too eager to remove food even though I hadn't finished

Positive: Brand new hotel, very clean and modern. Service was very good.

Negative: Travellers should note that it is not actually in the “City Center” - it is a little way out but tourist sites can be easily accessed by taxi, about 20 mins away.

Positive: Unbelievable selection in breakfast buffet. Genuine Lanzhou noodle. Breadth taking view from 51st floor.

Negative: Room too hot. thermostat does not work. Only way to cool the room down is to turn the heating off and open the window. Room is 27C, outside is -7C. Massive thermal shock every time I enter and leave the hotel.
