Are you concerned about the virus? Be assured that we are too. Our standard operating procedure is to thoroughly clean the studio after every booking. Besides washing and wiping down with disinfectants, we use an ozone generator known to kill moulds and viruses. So be welcome and assured that we at Hilltop Haven have done our part.

We want you to be able to experience Hawaii and the Big Island to its fullest without spending a great amount on your lodging. Summary: Beautiful setting high up on a hillside of Waimea. Cool evenings, quiet neighborhood and the apartment was well equipped. We enjoyed ourselves and felt safe and very much at home there. The owners were very gracious. If we return to Waimea, this is where we plan to stay again.

Summary: Great location at the very top of Waimea. Weather hit pretty hard as it was very windy. Dale was welcoming and kind. The unit had everything you need for a good stay. Very quiet and comfy. Fridge a little loud and back door a little strange as you cannot lock it from your side. Overall, I would stay again as Dale was engaged and approachable.

Summary: The property was surreal, as you can see on the VRBO website. We enjoyed how peaceful and quiet the neighborhood was. Our only concern was that we could not secure and lock the back door. The other concern was the price VRBO offered online—the VRBO website advertised and lowered the daily rate from $155 to $150. We ended up being charged for $155. We don't think it's the owner's fault, but VRBO should honor what they advertise. Despite these issues, Dale's willingness to share the property's history made our stay pleasant and memorable. Summary: I loved staying at Hilltop Haven. I felt so very welcomed when I arrived. The hosts greeted me and helped me settle in. They brought me several "extras" at my request, e.g. a warm quilt since I sleep cold. They responded immediately when I had a small issue with the shade going off the track. Everything you could wish for, and more, was right there waiting for you. Fully equipped kitchen, a beautiful bath with a gorgeous live orchid, a super comfortable bed and a stunning view out the window to Mauna Kea and the observatories. Very quiet and peaceful and just a short minute or two into town. I couldn't have asked for more.
