Positive: We had just one night at Hillsview and really enjoyed the little eco cabin on wheels experience. We'd definitely recommend arriving during daylight hours as it could be tricky finding the place at night. The directions our host gave us were spot on and we had no issues. It's a leisurely 15 min drive into Castlemaine. The cabin is cosy and well appointed obviously it's a tight space but that's the whole idea. We foraged for firewood and got the little wood heater going and the place was warm and toasty in no time. Lots of fun. It was super quiet overnight. The bathroom is excellent with great pressure and plenty of hot water. We cooked brekkie in the morning on the gas stove and even made mulled wine when we got back from dinner in town. Be mindful that getting down the ladder in the middle of the night is a bit fraught. It's just another one of the interesting quirks of the place. Enjoy.

Positive: It was an amazing stay for us to simply wind down. We got to be soooo close to the sheep, goats & cattle and wandered on their massive farm. Lisa & Jeremy were really welcoming and quick to respond to our requests 😊 The tiny house is equipped with anything you need. There is no microwave just FYI :) Short ride to either Castlemaine or Kyneton. You might catch roos roaming in the early mornings or close to sunset!

Positive: The tiny home was very, very cute. Nice touches like fairy lights, fireplace and cute decor which made the place very cosy. It felt very private from the main house. The kitchen has everything you need. Definitely recommend bringing a bottle of red to enjoy by the fire.
Negative: The toilet has a bad smell which was off putting. The bed needs less firm/ high pillows as they were hard to use. As claimed on the property description there is a lot of farm noise. This was dogs barking constantly throughout the night and a very early rooster who continued to crow.
Summary: Very cosy and cute for a night by the fire.
