Positive: We had a room separate from the main house so it was quiet and we didn’t disturb anyone when we came in after a day of exploring.
Negative: It was a little hard to find, and we drove right past it. But in typical Newfoundland fashion, a man that we stopped to ask for directions actually got in his car and drove us right to the door,!

Positive: We didn't know what to expect when we made our last minute booking at Hillside. We were pleasantly surprised when we finally arrived at our destination and made welcome by our hosts. The well appointed rooms with private bath/ensuite are situated on the other side of their home, each accessed with their own exterior door. An unexpected bonus was the option of meals provided by our host. We took them up on breakfast for the following morning and were thoroughly impressed. Wanda is an excellent cook and our meal was lovely as were our hosts. Wanda and Nelson truly made us welcome and we felt like a part of the family sitting down to their dining room table for a great feed.
Negative: We didn't realize just how far off the major route Hillside was. But in the end it was another lovely location.
Summary: It felt as though you were staying with family.

Positive: The peaceful, quiet location, a hidden gem, operated by two wonderful people. Also there evening meal and breakfast was very good and at a bargain price.
