Originally built in 1890 and moved to its location current location in 1920. The original log cabin serves as the living room now. The house has been completely remodeled and updated on inside. New furniture, cabinets, beds, paint, floors and amenities. All new! Just a few minutes from the secluded shores on Lake Michigan, Lake McDonald and Gulliver Lake. 15 minutes away from historic Manistique. Only about an hour from Mackinac Island. Same for Pictured Rocks. Sightseeing or just relaxing under the stars, it's all here. Unwind in Gulliver at this adorable house. Summary: Home was extraordinarily clean and yard was well-kept. Ample bed, bath and kitchen linens area available, and there are nightlights throughout the home (I loved this, especially since I was travelling kids). Communication from the host was great--thorough and timely. One sleeping area is open to the stairwell from the mainfloor and a pass-through to the other bedroom (not an issue for me, but if, say, two couples were travelling together and each wanted privacy, you'd want to know this). Some noise from the highway (and a train whistle) can be heard, but would stay here again!

Summary: What a beautiful home. We had everything that we needed. The kitchen is absolutely beautiful! Very comfortable beds. Even an inflatable mattress for the kids that did not want to sleep in the same bed:) The home was centrally located for our day trips. We visited Lake Kitch-iti-kipi near Manistique, Pictured Rocks National Shoreline, Tahqumenon Falls, and Mackinac Island. All were between 20 minutes to an hour away.
