Positive: Absolutely fantastic spot. A real gem. Great location, only half hour away from Geiranger village, and an easy drive with beautiful views. The place also has beautiful views, and is very well equipped with great facilities, good rooms, good everything. Jan the host was super helpful and great communicator. He recommended a walk nearby which was wonderful, knew a lot about the area. This was a fantastic spot.

Negative: The stairs to the apartment were pretty steep, but there may be another accommodation on site - worth contacting the host.

Positive: We had an overall good experience during our stay, and I wanted to share a bit of feedback. When we arrived, the door key was left in the lock, which was a little unusual for us, though the old door had a certain charm. We figured it was our place because there was a sticky note with our name on it, which made it easy to identify. Later, the owner arrived and met with us to collect the payment, which was appreciated. The view from the property was fantastic! One thing we found slightly inconvenient was the bathroom being a bit far from the main room—especially when it rained and was cold. A few things could be improved: The internet connection was quite weak. Both the bed and the sleeping couch were not very comfortable. There was no dish soap available, so we had to clean up without it and put everything back up. That said, for a one-night stay after a long day of driving, it was okay for us. Thank you for hosting us!

Negative: What I didn’t like was that there were no paper towels or dish soap available to clean our hands or any dishes, so we ended up not using any of the provided cups, plates, or utensils. The internet was very slow, and the beds were not comfortable at all.

Summary: Overall, it was a decent place for a short stay, but a few basic comforts were missing.

Positive: What a gorgeous view from the cabin where we stayed. The owner was very gracious and gave us a lot of information.

Negative: The only downfall was the uncomfortable sofa bed, even with the extra mattresses that the owner told us to put on it. Another time, I would just leave the sofa as it is and not make it into a bed. One person could sleep on the sofa and the other on a mattress on the floor.

Summary: Marvelous views, a gracious host, and a cozy cabin make a beautiful place to stay.

Positive: Absolutely everything. If you want to feel a real Norwegian Hytte experience without a hassle, I recommend this place. It is a bit small but very functional house in a beautiful location on the way to Geiranger. The host even provided a shoe dryer for our usage for free.
