Escape to "HERON HIDEAWAY," nestled on the scenic west side of Lamoka Lake on an over-sized, private lot with over 135' of LEVEL LAKEFRONT. At this secluded, cozy, & economical 2BR getaway, you'll enjoy the enclosed porch, outdoor furniture, fire pit, and PRIVATE DOCK. A canoe, tandem kayak, and single kayak are provided for your use.
Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for preparing meals at the lake, plus a toaster, microwave, coffee pot and Keurig, as well as dining table and chairs.
The living room area has a brand new sleeper sofa that pulls out into QUEEN size bed, chair, & rocker. Indoor entertainment with flat screen TV, DVD/BLU-RAY player, and plenty of movies, board games, cards & puzzles. NEW for 2025: Internet access and WiFi!
Bedroom #1 includes (1) QUEEN size bed and large dresser
Bedroom #2 has (1) FULL size bed, and (1) TWIN size bed with dresser and window AC unit.
Tenants must bring their own linens.
The enclosed porch comes with a rocker, additional seating, & coffee table, that give you a great view of the yard and lake.
Outside, you'll enjoy the large, level, grassy yard. The driveway down is steep, but there's plenty of level parking. Comes with a picnic table, outdoor grill, outdoor furniture, and fire-pit. The DOCK is perfect for your boat, or you can use the kayaks and canoe provided (life vests also provided). There's great fishing right from the dock, but it's not recommended for swimming. Paddle out to the North side of the lake for an island with a pebble beach great for swimming.
In close proximity to Finger Lakes wineries, hiking trails, Watkins Glen and tourist attractions.

Summary: We love going to this lovely little house. We love the large yard and the big dock. Oyr goalbis alway who can catch the most snd biggest fish. Granddaughter had the most daughter most pounds ond son largest bass. And lots of memories and stories our favorite fishing place on the fingers

Summary: The weather couldn’t have been better! My husband and I enjoyed nearby wineries and breweries. We spent a couple of days adventuring out and the rest at the cottage. This place was ideal to have a quiet and relaxing long weekend. We really enjoyed going out in the water and soaking in natures beauty. We also did plenty of fishing - several bites and a couple of small mouth bass - perfect place to catch and release. Kelli gave great communication- we’d love to come back and do it all over again.

Summary: A bit out of the way from "all the action", but that is what a lake cabin is for, right? It had everything we needed (except I didn't notice "bring your own linens and towels" in the listing, and had to hit Walmart since we flew in, but that worked out okay. ) Would stay again if we are in the area.

Summary: This is our third stay at Heron Hideaway, and certainly the best. Everything was great - the sleep (I got ten hours a night), the kitchen, the grill, the sleeping porch, the fire pit and that whole property. A huge waterfront yard where the dogs played endlessly and the northern pike were hitting my lures with gusto. The great weather was a bonus, but even when the weather wasn’t great in years past, we always had a blast. Perfectly located between Watkins Glen and Hammondsport means you always have options for dining, walking and just living. Kelli’s a wonderful host.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay. We were hoping to be able to at least put our feet in the water from the dock, but the algae made that impossible. If you are capable of kayaking or canoeing, this is a perfect spot. The fire pit was our favorite area, and the heron that came to the dock every day was fun to watch. We were able to go into Hammondsport to the Glen Curtis museum. I would recommend this to everyone. It is also close to Watkins Glenn and Keuka Lake.The camp was adequate for four people. It was clean and comfortable though the kitchen was a bit dated. Overall well worth the cost!
