Walking distance to Lake Rotoiti, perfect for swimming, boating, trout fishing etc. Enjoy a coffee or meal at the local cafe, or pick up the evening newspaper at the local shop. Both are only a short walk away from the bach. While you are here, visit the local DOC centre to get all the details on the walks in the area, and see their history display.

Summary: We had a lovely stay at Herbs place, a real hidden gem. Once we got the fire cranking it was toasty warm and cosy. A great location, where t's easy to relax and listen to the birds.Nicky was awesome to deal with, communication was great. Cheers.

Summary: Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely family bach . Clean and plenty of firewood , heaters going when we arrived and we loved the cosy feeling of the place.

Summary: Had an amazing time, classic old school batch with comfortable couches and beds, and a big efficient fire. Walking access through the beech forest to the lake, and an easy walk to the lodge. Given the price, exceeded expectations easily.

Summary: We had a lovely cosy stay at this wee Bach in the forest. It had everything we needed to keep us cosy and warm - an excellent fire, heaters, electric blanket on all the beds, and plenty of spare blankets. And we loved that it was only a short walk to the lake. The only thing to note is that the Bach is a no frills affair, as it’s an old Bach. But that didn’t bother us.

Summary: A group of us stayed here after tramping in the Nelson Lakes National Park, and it was the perfect place to relax and cook a final meal before we went our separate ways. Expect a classic bach / crib and you won’t be disappointed! Lots of room for everyone, well appointed kitchen and a fire to keep everyone toasty. Nicky was quick to confirm booking and provide all the info we needed. Highly recommended
