Positive: Really enjoyed my stay at Hemu house, pleasant and peaceful room and staff which made us feel welcome. The hotel is located close the the main tourism area so really convenient too.

Positive: Exceptionally clean and welcoming. Absolutely beautiful location in the old town, walking out the door straight in to the beautiful river bank. As described and exactly as per the wonderful pictures. The bed was super soft and was the most comfortable bed I slept on in China. The english speaking staff was so helpful with arranging attraction tickets and transports.

Positive: Great location. Open the location in the App 'A-map' to see where it really is. Google Maps doesn't give the real location. Couldn't be better! 2-3 mins from the river and the pagoda, meaning quiet but in east reach of everything. Also easy to cut through to the shuttle bus car park.

Negative: The hotel was perfect. Just a warning about taxis and DiDi. To go to/from the night show (at the theatre) we found motorbike taxis worked best. To come from the station, the shuttle bus. We tried to use DiDi here to go to the theatre and to go back to the station... Impossible! Eventually we shared a taxi to the station and were lucky. First and only place that we were turned down for taxis. So start looking well before your leaving time!
