Positive: Everything was truly exceptional - the rooms, the environment, the breakfast, the location (away from the noise on the river) and above all the hospitality of the staff. We loved our stay in Fenghuang and extended for an extra night. We took the option for a home-cooked dinner one evening which was delicious. The warmth and friendliness shown was akin to being a family member. We were sad to leave. Can't praise this place enough!

Positive: I did not expect this place to exceed my expectations, from the train station out of the hotel to help me contact the private car to pick me up, arrived at the hotel roadside there is a butler to help me take my luggage back to the hotel, although the room is not large but very stylish and warm. The hotel is located in the ancient city scenic spot, go out for a minute to the ancient street, travel is particularly convenient. Every staff member is warm and kind, and when I have something to ask them, they will be the first to help me solve the problem and make me feel as warm here as my own home, and I strongly recommend it.

Positive: The location is very good - away from Bars and noisy area - about 150m from main road across Wind bridge where nightly singing and entertainment on a river pontoon were provided free - short walk from river side walkways, lane ways, shops, restaurants, attractions, etc. Attached Wind bridge photo shows river pontoon in the middle of river and main road is on the right up a stair and Dream 2 mins walk via a lane way on the left. Had 4 nights of catered 4 courses local home cooked dinners which were better and much cheaper than in a restaurant. Highly recommended but 24 hrs notice is required as staffs need to go to local market in the morning for fresh ingredients. If your are lucky, you might have fresh eggs from resident chickens for a delicious breakfast. On request before arrival, Liu Yuen, the host ordered lactose free milk from out of town and provide gluten free meals for us as well. Advised of our arrival time at train station, Liu Yuen organized car pick up service and staffs to help with our luggage from the roadside. Liu Yuen have a bar at the ground floor. As our Chinese are basic and Liu Yuen English is basic too, so communication with him and staffs were via WeChat which have translation helping us to have an enjoyable 5 nights stay. Will definitely consider another stay at Dream in FengHuang

Positive: The owner Mr. Liu went beyond his hospitality. He and his staffs were super helpful. They treated my husband and myself liked part of his family. I strongly recommend this hotel. 5 mins walk away from the river and very quiet. They serve lunch or dinner, has to pre-order a day ahead. Love their cooking. Must try.

Positive: Breakfast simple and Chinese. The Buttering service provided at Dream at Feng Huang make all the differences. Let them know your needs and your arrival and they can wait at the service road to pick you up and carry your bags, as locating the property for foreigners can be challenging. Mr. Liu provides excellent guide and insight of Feng Huang sights and attractions. Exquisite Dinner available and is recommended. Suggest contacting the property to arrange personal pickup at the Train Station and the extra is only a token to remove the hassle to get to property and back to station.

Negative: The retail offerings at the ancient city are average and there is no metro or cars within it. It is all walking and March is raining season.

Positive: Liu Yuen has very nice. His family even provided a free dinner for us even though we did not ask for it. The place is traditional and clean. We can immerse in this ancient city during our stay.

Negative: The town is full of stairs. A bit inconvenience when carrying luggage. But the staff helped us to take the luggage.

Positive: The breakfast was very nice with a few different dishes--noodles, eggs, dim sim, fruits and coffee. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They tried all they could to keep our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We really appreciated it. The location is centrial and convenient.
