Positive: Beautiful design and very comfortable bad! It was comfortable and cozy! Love the windows that you can see everything!

Negative: There was no reception, restaurant, or anything open in the area and there was no kitchen - this detracted from the experience!

Positive: The bungalow is really exceptional: beautiful and well equipped. Being out of season, we were alone on the site and did not see anybody. The management was nice to offer us (via messaging) the possibility to be their guests for the sauna. We really appreciated this experience by night.

Negative: Ballstad is a little off the tourist tracks. Unfortunately, the view from the bungalow is not as fantastic as expected. The lodge is close to industrial buildings.

Positive: Such a comfortable stay, could really spend time relaxing with beautiful views! Great sauna as well, just have to make sure you use it at high tide so you can swim.

Positive: Our cabin had a wonderful unblocked view of the area. We could just sit all day long and gaze out the big picture windows. Our cabin was well furnished and came with a kettle and sink. The bathroom was excellent. The bedroom access was unique as we had to go up a step ladder and there was a skylight and wide window view of the area. It’s a 15min drive to Leknes so convenient to get anything. And we saw the Northern Lights from our room!

Negative: Maybe a couple more hooks and hangers for clothes?

Positive: The kitchen was well equipped with a stove and oven, a full size refrigerator and a dishwasher.. Car charging is available. A self service laundry was available for additional cost. The staff was very helpful. The beds were comfortable.

Negative: The unit only had one comfortable chair for relaxing. The only other chairs were wooden dining chairs. The unit could sleep up to seven people. It seems it should have more comfortable seating for that number of people. When we arrived our door code did not work. I was having difficulty with my phone working in Norway making it difficult to reach staff (arrived in late afternoon when staff is not on site). Fortunately we found another guest who was able to reach the staff and the problem was resolved with no more difficulty during the stay. Guests should also be aware toilet paper is not provided. After a long trip we arrived to just enough tissue (literally) for one restroom visit. Fortunately a small grocery was close by so we started our visit shopping for bath tissue. An easy fix might be to supply each unit with a full starter roll of bath tissue giving guest a chance to settle in and see what supplies might be needed for the stay.

Summary: Great kitchen and location with responsive staff.
