Summary: we had a problem with the air conditioner and they kindly changed our room! very tasty in the restaurant. nice staff. good location, clean pool, liked everything

Summary: Overall experience of this hotel is okay. The room is clean with river view. The outside scenery is nice. However, the reception is only available till 5pm. If you want to check in after 5pm, you need to call the hotel for special arrangement. I arrived the hotel around 4pm, but they can’t find me. I showed the staff my receipt to prove my payment but they said if you paid through the 3rd party, they didn’t get it and he asked me to paid them again in order to get the room. I booked the hotel through “hotels.com”, so I had to try to connect Hotels.com. While I was making the call, they found my name in their system and said everything was good to go and I got the key to the room. The door of my room was pretty hard to open but we managed to open the door; we then found almost half of power outlets in the room were not working, especially, the washroom has no light and the tower rack was broken. By the time we settled, it has passed the 5pm, so we just stayed there with above conditions. The no light washroom was really inconvenient. The lady at the reception was fairly friendly and the gentleman was harsh.

Summary: Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Nice grounds. Not very private - the hotel rooms share a single front porch, and the view of the bay includes the campers in front of the hotel. There were people waking up and making breakfast as I was watching the birds, and surely they felt like I was watching them. BUT it’s a great location, in the middle between Gaspé and Percé, right off the highway. We went at the high point of high season- mid-Quebec construction holiday- and this was an affordable and convenient place to sleep. In spite of the close quarters and fully booked accommodations, our room was quiet and we slept well. We had no time to try the pool or the beach, to my kids’ disappointment. I recommend Fort Prével, especially for golfers.

Summary: Rooms were large and comfortable and there was a nice breeze coming off the bay. Rooms have a terrace overlooking the water. Perfect spot.

Summary: We recently enjoyed a two-day stay at this lovely property, drawn by its panoramic views and historic charm. While the location certainly delivered, offering beautiful sunrises and a generally pleasant atmosphere, our initial room experience was far from ideal. Upon checking into our "Panoramic Room," we were surprised to find no air conditioning. Given the hot weather, the room was uncomfortably humid and warm. A single fan provided in the room was simply insufficient to cool the space, and with a small baby accompanying us, this was a significant concern. We immediately contacted reception to request a room change, explaining our discomfort. Unfortunately, we were informed that the hotel was fully booked. Opening the window for ventilation was not a viable solution, as flying insects quickly became an issue. We endured a very difficult first night due to the heat. Thankfully, on the second day, the hotel provided a portable air conditioner, which offered much-needed relief. While the overall experience with the property's location and ambiance was good, the initial lack of air conditioning and the difficulty we faced on the first night was quite disappointing.
