Positive: The staff were wonderful, good service. The setting was fantastic: I had a great early morning walk in surrounding countryside. 👌

Negative: The room was quite sparce: not a chair to sit on, nor a mini fridge or much choice of beverages: hot chocolate, choice of teas. And breakfast doesn't start until 9! So I was unable to partake due to an early start. Had there been a breakfast available at 8, I may have waited.

Positive: The place was okay, we were able to change the room to a more comfortable one.

Negative: No staff to look after the room, can't get all the standard services needed. The rooms must have been made out of a barn as pipe works pass through the room to other rooms, you can easily hear your neighbours talking, water passing through etc.

Positive: The bed was comfy. The staff were excellent and friendly. It was convenient that we could sit in the pub in the evenings.

Negative: Breakfast is served from 0900 until 1200 - too late for us - -we needed to be out by 0900. The room was small, with a low ceiling and very little space for belongings. One of the drawers in the small cupboard barely opened. The one bedside lamp .had a flex that was so short that the bedside table had to be half-way down the bed for the lamp to be able to be switched on or off without getting out of bed. The shower was OK, but not the latest model and needed patience to work out how to get the temperature of the water correct without either scalding or freezing yourself. Try as we might, we were unable to avoid flooding the floor beside the bath when we used the shower - the shower screen was just not big enough. If there are other guests in the room above you can more or less hear every word they say, and you can certainly hear their footsteps as they move around. Otherwise it was very quiet and peaceful.

Summary: At the price, we would not complain, as the location suited us so well.
