Positive: Spacious, well equipped, gorgeous location. Beds were extremely comfortable, and the hot tub was fabulous. There wasn’t anything lacking. Cliff the host was so helpful and courteous. We will definitely be back.

Positive: The location was ideal, far enough from the main road to not hear traffic, near enough to Northallerton by car. Very friendly host and staff.

Negative: We found the property to be ideal, very clean, and a nice welcome pack. the amenities were first class.

Summary: Journey from the south easy via the M1 and not too long timewise. Roads quieter than down south.

Positive: It was different and was lovely and quiet

Negative: We were lucky that Mr Pearson agreed to put more towels in the lodge. He usually only supplies 2 but as there were 4 of us and we hadn’t been told we didn’t bring any. He was very kind and agreed to supply. I just think it should be made clear on the booking as we were travelling all over Scotland first. There was one knob missing off the cooker and the hand held shower in the second bathroom wouldn’t work without the bath tap going on too. Felt it was an awful waste of water so all 4 of us used my relatives on suite shower.

Summary: Ideal quiet location and helpful owner. Lots of information in the lodge about where to go whilst there

Positive: The house was a Swedish-style log cabin which was extremely warm and comfortable. It had it's own private jacuzzi(outside) and a huge large bath (inside). The shower in the en-suite was also excellent. Lovely views of the fields and pheasant, sparrowhawk and other birds.

Negative: I don't see how it could be improved on!

Positive: cosy, warm with everything you could need. incredible bath tub and hot tub with newly built gazebo that lights up beautifully in the evening. very relaxed weekend.
