Summary: Well kept and nicely appointed room. Best night’s sleep I’ve had in 10 days on the road. We arrived after sunset and could not see our surroundings. Imagine my surprise to see the red rock cliffs and the mesa to the west aglow in sunlight before it crested the ridge near us. I took advantage to spend time sitting outside on the chairs provided to watch the colours come alive as the sun rose. A memorable stay. I don’t when I’ll be back this way, but when I am, I’ll be staying here!

Summary: The hotel was located a convenient half hour from Monument Valley Park. Rooms appeared to be recently renovated. We enjoyed the pool area with shaded lounge area and views of the river & rock formations. Two locations nearby provided food.

Summary: Mexican Hat is a very small town, there are 2 restaurants and a 7/11 gas station. Room was clean, the grounds are very rustic, stairs to the second level. Pool was nice and clean, we were having rain so I did not use it. Hot tub was not working. The only staff we saw were the 2 sons one checked us in and the other was cleaning the pool, they were very nice. If you arrive before check in there is a number to call on the door and they will be right over.

Summary: Excellent pool and surroundings in this tiny hamlet. The first impressions of the room were less so with torn curtains and a strong chemical smell that lingered for hours. However, they did promise room to replace the curtains. The room itself was fine.

Summary: The outside of the hotel is a little deceiving. However, the rooms are wonderful. The beds are very comfortable and clean.! The only complaint I have is that there is no guide on the remote control or on paper for the channels that are on the tv. Cass at the front desk and her husband who works at the gas station were Lifesavers♥️ It's a wide spot in the middle of the road. The 7/11 has a lot of premade sandwiches, salads, and meals. The restaurant at the San Juan Café is great. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner.
