Positive: Fairly good sized room in the main hotel, including a large area by the bathroom with two sinks. We arrived a little later in the evening (after 8pm), but it wasn't a problem. The receptionist was available to give us our room key soon after we arrived. Breakfast was included, and I was impressed that they offered Bob's Red Mill granola as an option in the breakfast buffet.
Negative: Some aspects of the room seemed dated, such as older fixtures in the bathroom, the window AC unit and the dresser drawer. The bed mattress was ok but felt a little saggy (although it didn't bother me too much and didn't affect my sleep at all). Some breakfast food items like scrambled eggs and sausage were overcooked and of mediocre quality.
Summary: Some shortcomings, but overall a pleasant stay at the Desert Rose Resort & Cabins

Positive: Good food at Resturant. Nice Clean Indoor Pool. Parking right in front of your room.

Positive: Beautifully decorated, amazing art displayed. Room was lovely and had a great patio with a view.
Negative: Not sure if Duke’s Restaurant is affiliated or separately owned but it was a bad customer experience. We waited 1 hr for them to open at 5pm. We arrived at 5:15 and were told they were unable (unwilling!) to seat us as a party of 8 had come in. We said we were willing to wait for service if we could just be seated with water. Nope. No seating and unsure of wait time. We went 1 mile away and had a lovely meal.

Positive: It was the second time for us at Desert Rose Resort & Cabins and definitely not our last stay there! We love the combination of the wooden design of the building with the modern stylish elements. The room is equipped with everything that is required to make a stay comfortable.
