Positive: The Staff, The Atmosphere, The Surroundings, The Room - everything was very nice to me !! Being a foreigner in China, the language barrier is the most problematic factor, however due to the lovely and most supportive behavior of the staff there, my journey to and from there was really noteworthy to describe !! And finally the boss lady of the hostel, Amy, was super cool and friendly to me who helped a lot, I really meant A LOT. The lady assisted me in every possible way, i. e. the most beautiful places to visit during short time there, the mode of the transportation that might be helpful, when and how long some places will be worth visiting, everything she assisted me with was really undescribable ! I'm really too grateful to her for her kindness and assistance throughout my stay over there in Harbin. In a nutshell for her, my visit to Harbin was really just as magical as the Harbin is really is 🤍🤍🩵🩵💙💙

Positive: It was a relaxed environment with free laundry. Although I reserved/paid for a bed in large room, but was given my own room for the same price. It is in an excellent location. Not a place to spend a lot of time, but a fine landing place. You get what you pay for in the accommodation and are in the center of the city which makes transportation convenient.

Negative: The room was not well-kept. The carpet was dirty, the air conditioner was leaking and paint was peeling off of the walls. There was no chair for the desk and the lighting was dim. While the front desk staff were willing to help, they did not treat my passport with proper respect/carefulness. They were confused about the deposit versus the actual payment. Besides the bar, there was little space to relax/sit down outside of your room.

Positive: Stayed for a couple of days, and this hostel surpassed my expectations. While not seeming too much from the outside, the interior was warm and inviting. The room was cozy and quiet, and the bar was an excellent facility. Unfortunately, I wasn't in Harbin for the peak season, so the bar was rather empty, but it had a pleasant jazz theme with decor and music to match. It also had a stage; unfortunately during my stay there were no live performances, but I could easily picture what it would have been like if there were. As I said it wasn't peak season, so this couldn't be helped and I won't take points against them for it. The staff was very friendly, especially the person attending reception on my first day. He provided me with the hostel's wechat account and through it suggested me things to do around the city and provide me directions in a timely manner. I didn't have a chance to try the food, but the menu sounded like it had a variety of good choices. Overall, as far as hostels go, I stayed in much worse places and Hash has clearly put the effort into running a pleasant, cozy place that exceeds in quality for the price you pay.

Negative: The bathrooms could have been a little cleaner. They weren't absolutely disgraceful compared to other places I have seen, but still. There is no such thing as too clean a bathroom. This would be my one criticism.

Summary: Definitely worth a stay if you want a cheap room but delivers in quality.
