Positive: Right on the beach. Only 8 huts. Very quiet, in between Benaulim & Colva. Lovely breeze up through restaurant (additional benefit of keeping mosquitoes at bay). Food good & cheap. Staff very helpful - family run business. Air con keeps shack nice & cool. Beach clean in front of shack, & vast.

Summary: Lovely, quiet place to stay on the beach.

Positive: Just perfect wooden huts! You go down several stairs and here it is - the soft white sand and warm waters of the ocean in surroundings of palm trees. The huts are clean and cozy with own bathrooms and tremendous beds. There is a restaurant faced the beach with delicious food. The owner and his family are amazingly hospitable, speak really good English and always willing to help. Great place!

Positive: Perfect location, right on the beautiful beach. Great food in restaurant. Very much needed air conditioned cabin.

Negative: There seems to be no communication between the management. We were told we could store our luggage, have a shower and check out later by one of the sons. We were told by him we could leave our cases in one of the 2 rooms we had booked for the week. We checked out of the other room in good time and left all our luggage in the other room as instructed. When we did check out and were about to leave the father demanded we pay 1500 for late check out. We explained we had asked his son and had been told it was ok. He started getting very aggressive and saying we should have asked. We explained we had asked his son who told us it was ok. His son stood there very sheepish and didn't back us up. We didnt pay the extra money and told them there was a problem with communication within the management. After a great week and talking about booking Happy Shacks for next year we left in a rush telling him he had ruined our stay and that we hadn't believed some of the reviews we had read prior to our stay. But it seemed they were true. We will NOT be returning next year to these cabins but will hopefully return to the next door cabins which look stunning. The location is fabulous and there are plenty of other shacks along that stretch of beach.

Positive: Best Beach ever. Stay away from Colva City. Come to happy Shack and enjoy.

Negative: Very familiar, helpful in any ways. Fresh and healthy food served. The Family and the dogs Are amzazing… love it!
