Positive: The guesthouse is charming and traditional, and we enjoyed the hospitality. The village of Breb was also lovely.

Negative: Unfortunately, the rooms were very cold during our stay in August, which made it uncomfortable. With better heating, this would be a wonderful place to stay.

Positive: Amazing location very close to local restaurants and a small supply shop. Beautiful property made completely of local wood! Vasile and his wife Maria are truly wonderful people. They helped us with everything we needed. They are incredibly patient if you don’t speak their language, and we made a real connection with the simple use of ‘google translate’. Vasile is a modest and curious man, who was willing to share his culture and life experience in Romania. Staying with them was my favorite part of my two week trip. I will certainly stay in contact with them!

Positive: The room was lovely and spacious for 2 people (we were given choices upon arrival). We didn't avail of a breakfast as such, thinking it wasn't an option. But our host informed us it could have been. We were treated to tea and coffee upon our request, and the hostess gave up a few complimentary treats. The family there was ever so accommodating...even the young son who chatted with us and provided details about the area. Price was more than reasonable.

Negative: We liked everything and have no complaints. I suppose if one had to look for how to make things even better...a small refrigerator in the room would have been a nice addition, given there is no convenience store nearby where one can buy water for example . (Even though I understood they are building such a store as we speak) The location was misleading at first...I had the image of stepping outside and being surrounded by the village. That wasn't the case totally...but a 3 minute walk down the road immersed us in the village of Breb, so all good.
