Positive: The cottage was lovely, clean, comfortable, and spacious. The hosts were very responsive and gracious. The surrounding area was beautifully landscaped and maintained. Although the location was slightly removed from some of the main hiking destinations on the island, we felt the drive was worth it for the peace and quiet. There is also a nice cafe and bakery just a few minutes away.

Positive: This is the most beautiful cottage, giving a real sense of tranquility in the stunning Yakushima. It felt like a home away from home, and the hosts are so warm and welcoming. You can feel how much thought and time has gone into making this cottage as special as it is. I was in Yakushima to reunite with a friend, and this was such a lovely setting to return to after our daily adventures around the island. This must be the best place to stay on Yakushima - the garden is as beautifully kept as the cottage. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Positive: Very comfortable house in a beautiful garden with an awesome mountain view and lovely hosts. Even prettier than the photos, we watched butterflies and even saw a family of monkeys pass through one morning from afar. The house (and importantly, the kitchen) is perfectly equipped and pristine. Our sheets were changed while we were away.

Positive: Both of us enjoyed the stay there! The owners are very warm and all the equipments in the cabin are very nice. The overall environment provide a chill and relaxing vibe. I highly recommend this cabin to people who visit Yakushima!!

Negative: There are some insects in the garden but I think it’s totally fine, as long as you keep windows and doors shut.
