Summary: Nice quintasential old english hotel ... but in need of beautification and retro-fit of basics like air conditioning. Hotel layout was like a maze from multiple additions over the decades. Nice location and relaxing garden for a quiet drink. We arrived over a bank holiday weekend and unfortunatel only two staff were on with the others having not turned up for work. The two staff members were overworked but stayed friendly and very helpful. Needs some basic maintenace (paint peeling) but very nice in bar, restraunt and lounge. Really enoyed out stay.

Summary: It’s a little bit dated in some parts. The rooms could do with a modern upgrade, digital TVs with Netflix and YouTube streaming for example. The showers were really poor in water power and dribbled. The pillows were pretty flat and not too comfortable. But the staff were lovely and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty but that toaster was screeching in the background and made it uncomfortable to remain too long in the dining area.

Summary: No complimentary breakfast, was told by staff it was £12 per head, free parking, room in desperate need of renovation, very dated and very tired. Room was very clean

Summary: Good hotel providing excellent value for money. Room was not fancy but had everything I needed. Bathroom had been modernised and had a new walk in shower replacing the bath which I was very pleased with.
