Negative: The hostess wasn’t overly hospitable although the host was friendly enough.

Negative: The owners: invasion of privacy when watering the plant pots as he was right outside the window. Rude on departure, unfortunately we got departure time wrong, it was 10am instead of 11am and it was not well handled.

Positive: Ham's House is perfectly decorated and equipped for two people. Its cleanliness and decoration are immaculate. It is in a quiet part of the countryside and well placed to explore Shropshire and the Welsh borders. The property cannot be faulted.

Negative: We had a minor glitch getting the key safe code on arrival - this was because we had been 'off-grid' on holiday and so had not received an email prompting us to contact our host. I'm sure that normally it works fine. The hosts are genial and welcoming, but own a number of dogs which appear harmless but which bark a lot at the slightest prompt and randomly wander the grounds. This is a little concerning late at night.

Summary: An excellent weekend, with considerate and welcoming hosts. A highly recommended property.

Positive: Beautiful location. Lovely view from bedroom window. Great facilities. Clean and well equipped. Parking adjacent to property. Although it’s fairly remote ie you need a car, plenty of facilities within a reasonably short drive. Approx 20 minute drive to the beautiful Clee Hills including Brown Clee Hill. Owners very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend a visit to Croft Castle and other local National Trust places
