Inside, you’ll find an immaculate and well-appointed space with all the amenities. Enjoy the spacious living and dining area with vaulted ceilings, large windows, gas fireplace and smart TV. Sliding doors bring the outdoors in with access to a full porch and covered screen porch for amazing Lake Superior views. The updated kitchen features new appliances and granite countertops. Summary: Our long weekend at Halsnoy Haven was much too short! It's a fabulous house and the owners have thought of everything: big fully equipped kitchen, long dining table perfect for accommodating meals *and* jigsaw puzzles, lots of comfortable furniture for lounging, gas fireplace or outdoor firepit for cooler evenings, and beautifully landscaped grounds. For me, however, the best feature is the porch (both screened and open) with the unobstructed view of Lake Superior. Rainy or peak mosquito season? Enjoy the glider Adirondack chairs on the screened porch. Warm breezy day without bugs? Enjoy the other Adirondack chairs on the open porch. Either way, you can listen to the waves and soak in the view while chatting or reading or simply appreciating the peace and quiet. If you can drag yourself away from the house and the view, it's also perfectly positioned near a number of state parks, fantastic hikes, and Grand Marais.

Summary: We originally booked the cabin for 7 days for our wedding anniversary. We were reluctant to leave this beautiful well-appointed cabin with superb views of Lake Superior and were able to add 2 more days to our stay. We sat on the enclosed deck every night listening to the waves gently hitting the shore. My wife loved taking pictures of the Strawberry moon rising over the lake and leaving a trail of moonbeams. The area reminds us of Colorado without the altitude. There are Aspens, Birch and Pine trees with waterfalls and fast running streams, lakes and plenty of great hikes. We enjoyed the Bluefin Grill and Coho Café in nearby Tofte as well as the Schroeder Baking Company. Linda, the host, was very accessible and quickly responded to any questions. This is definitely one of the nicest VRBO properties we have visited.

Summary: Halsnoy Haven is a wonderful house and property. The panoramic view of Lake Superior is so impressive from the outside deck, the enclosed deck or behind the big windows and sliders across the front of the house.The house is very well designed and fully fitted out to support a great stay. It was so comfortable and beautiful that we only left the house to hike - no restaurants have a better view and we like to cook.

Summary: From the first few steps in the house this property is amazing. The views of Lake Superior are incredibly brought into the home with the countless windows. Staying here was an experience not just a place to stay. Watching the sunrise and hearing the waves crashing from the deck was a memory we’ll never forget. Summary: Halsnoy Haven is wonderful. Perfect accommodation for 2 people. The views are best of any place we've ever stayed on the North Shore including a180 degree vista with sweeping view south along the jagged shoreline with waves crashing. 3 seasons room for morning coffee, deck for evening wine- all looking out at sunrise and moon rise. And great location with quick access to Lutsen Ski Complex and to so many hiking trails. Ahhh!
