"Schulmattes-Haus", the historic holiday home on the outskirts of the town combines the well-renovated facility with the feel-good atmosphere of a traditional, former farmhouse with modern facilities and was classified by the DTV with 4 stars in September 2019.

Summary: If you don’t mind the 6 o’clock morning church bells, then you’re in for a treat. An absolutely beautiful house (renovated by interior designers), super friendly and helpful landlord. Very well equipped (kitchen ingredients, shampoo and shower gel, towels in abundance, welcome set of wines , orange juice, mineral water and fruits and even two bathrobes).. the beds under the roof are somewhat high, so a bit problematic with small kids.

Summary: Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The cottage was beautiful, everything that we needed was there. We all commented on how comfy the beds were and how amazing the shower was. Just wish we had stayed longer. Will be booking a longer trip for next year!

Summary: Lovely property in a small village with available parking for our rental car. Siegbert and Gabby are a pleasant couple, conversive in English and very attentive to our needs. We would have loved to stay longer and throughly enjoyed our stay. The wine treats were a pleasent surprise. Be sure to visit the castle ruins in nearby Mayen. Would definitely return.
