Positive: I have stayed here twice before. It is one of the cheapest central places in Singapore if you want your own room with your own shower and toilet. The room is only about twice the size of the bed, but I was mostly only there while sleeping so not a problem. Quite acceptable. It is nearly opposite the Jalan Besar MRT station and buses run past the front door. I found this very useful as I was on and off the MRT all day for the six days I was there. Get the three day tourist pass for unlimited travel on the MRT and public buses. Just for entertainment I would ride on a different MRT line each day and get on and off at random stations to see what was there. The LRT trains towards the end of the North East line run above ground and as they are driverless you can stand at the front and get some really good pictures and videos of the surrounding townships. There are a variety of eating places close by. I would stay there again if in Singapore.

Summary: Very acceptable accomodation for my requirements.

Positive: Good location

Negative: No elevator. Room was very small, no chairs or furniture other than the bed. The shower was very small too and the shower head was basically above the toilet. The blanket for the bed was not very comfortable. Door did not have a proper lock, only chain.

Positive: Basic but good private space to sleep and use phone/computer while visiting Singapore to explore the city. Location is close to a metro station, also small shop 24 hours open next to the place. Staff was friendly and did not interupt me with my stay, prepared for me late self-check in etc.

Negative: Well, they could allow you to use a bathroom somewhere in the hotel after you ckeck out and leave your luggage for rest of the day before your plane arrives. After couple hours you eventuallu need to pee. Rooms are cosy but basic, no fridge nor safe box. I think it is still expensive for what you get but I did not find cheaper alternatives in this city where accomodation apparently is very pricy.

Positive: Great location right in front of the MRT and a bus station, making it a super convenient base when travelling within Singapore. The price is reasonable for a central spot and is right next to a couple of restaurants and a hawker centre. Rooms are comfy and always clean. The staff is friendly.

Negative: No lift. Could be challenging for those with bulky luggage.
