Summary: The gentleman at the front desk was lovely and had a lot of wonderful recommendations. The small feel of the hotel was wonderful and the inclusion of breakfast was a huge perk! The view was beautiful and we were able to walk out our door and see the northern lights. Highly recommend!!!

Summary: Clean, basic and modern bedroom and bath. Basic but fresh and nice breakfast. Most amazing was the view of the fjord, bridge, and Akureyri.

Summary: Great large room with stunning view towards city. The breakfast was nicely set out and offered many options The host was most pleasant and helpful Would recommend this option as it’s not right downtown where parking is not easy

Summary: On the hillside across the fjord from the airport and town, it was in the middle of having an extension when we were there (boy, Icelandic builders are hardy) so was a little out of sorts. That said, it is kept in immaculate order, and I’m sure the extension will be great. Currently it’s just 8 rooms, and won’t be so much bigger next year, but will have an internal lift so you don’t have to go outside to get to the lower rooms. There isn’t a restaurant, but the breakfast buffet is a good start to the day. If you have a car (and you really need one if you are traveling independently around here) it’s a short drive to downtown with a couple of gnarly turns after dark.
