Positive: I stayed here when I traveled through Iceland the first time and it was the first guesthouse I booked for the second time. The hosts are amazing and make you feel like you are visiting friends in their home. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, they have a hot tub with great view of the northern lights (if you are lucky) and still serve the best breakfast in Iceland. Hope to come back here to stay for longer.

Positive: One of the best bed and breakfasts we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many in many countries. The location was quiet and off the beaten path so when we had a clear sky we had our first of four sitings of the Northern Lights. Breakfast was outstanding and we had dinner with the hosts as well for a very reasonable price. Arnie and Hrepna were terrific hosts. Would stay with them again in a heart beat

Positive: This is one of those rare accommodations that make the trip even more beautiful and where you can better get to know and feel the country and its people through the owners of the guest house. The guest house is located in a beautiful location. Its setting is fabulously relaxing and beautiful. Everywhere you look, there is a beautiful detail, an accent, a mood. One evening I chose to sit in the hot tub. The owner filled it fresh for me. It seemed that time had stopped - fresh water, a wonderful view of the valley and I sat in the bath longer than I had originally thought. Time had stopped. Breakfast is very special because the hostess prepares it with love. And conversations at the breakfast table are like home. The morning starts with freshly prepared delicacies and coffee.

From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in warmth and hospitality by the hosts, whose genuine friendliness made us feel at home right from the start.  Not only was the accommodation impeccably clean and beautifully furnished, but the added bonus of a geothermal hot tub outside provided the perfect relaxation after a long day of exploring.   And then comes the exceptional breakfast. Featuring local and home made specialties left our taste buds craving and dreaming for more up to this day. We even had a chance to share life stories with hosts and talk insights about Iceland over a breakfast and that truly touched our hearts. It actually became one of the highlights of our whole trip in Iceland.  If you're looking for a lovely and cozy retreat with genuine warmth, truly incredible food, and a chance to connect with locals, look no further.

Positive: Very nice rooms and bathrooms, lovingly decorated, there is really everything you need, excellent breakfast with many homemade products (bread, jam, ...), very warm hosts, nice quiet location, use of living room, hot tub, terrace. We enjoyed every one of the 6 days. Many guests only stay one night. This is far too short, not only because of the great accommodation but also because of the many nice activities that are possible around Akureyri. We have been traveling for many years and this is definitely one of the best accommodations we have had. We felt very comfortable, like at home, and will certainly be back!

Positive: Beautiful property. Warm and friendly hosts. Homemade bread, Jams and cakes for breakfast. Hot tub available upon request. I was able to let my dog run free. The hosts were fantastic and made me and my dog feel very welcomed. I would recommend this gorgeous place to stay to all my friends, and I can’t wait to return to Akureyri and see them again.
