The cottage is well set-up for couples - two separate bedroom with double beds - there is a mezzanine floor above the main room with mattresses for additional guests and children. Also a small library of locally relevant books.
Haast is situated in the heart of Te Wāhipounamu World Heritage Area. There are national parks to the north, south and east and the Tasman sea to the West. From Haast township to Jackson Bay there are spectacular beaches, dunes, lakes and wetlands. The area is perfect for fishing, hunting and tramping and there are many walks to explore. Other activities include Jet Boat tours and helicopter flights. Just hanging out is always worth considering!

Summary: This was a bach that suited us down to the ground! We felt so at home straight away in this very comfortable and roomy place! There were lots of items around the place that showed how much travelled the owners were and it reminded my husband of his travels around Nepal too! The bach was within walking distance to facilities such as the local store etc and the Hard Antler Bar where we had some great meals! We also were able to enjoy some of the walks in around Haast. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant!
