Summary: Good place in the middle of nowhere in a beautiful environment.

Summary: Quiet hotel situated in a very peaceful environment. Check in was relatively fast and efficient. We were taken to our room by the receptionist. Our room was situated on the first floor and was well designed and decorated. After a long trip we had a quick swim at the swimming pool and enjoyed it. Coming back to the room we were intrigued by the way the towels were displayed in the bathroom and we thought well that is perhaps the way they do it. We had an excellent diner at the restaurant, each dish of the set menu was just great, the products and cooking methods were great. Service very good. we really enjoyed the evening and definitely recommend this restaurant for its quality of food and service. When we went back to the room, we opened our bed to discover that there was a left over tee-shirt and that the bed sheets and pillow cases were not changed, we then realized why the bathroom towels were not folded but just hanged. I went to the desk and the receptionist was very fast and efficient. He offered us another room but we didnt want to move at 11 pm. So he came with one of his colleague (a young chef) and did the bed and changed the linen. The next day, he advised us that the management had decided to offer our dinner dinner drinks complementary. The check out was very long with a wrong invoice with an extra night added (I had used a hotels reward coupon for a night) and 6 breakfasts. I had to email them my hotels.com invoice to prove the rate and the free night.

Summary: This hotel is serene and beautiful. The restaurant has incredible food that is a delight! We ate dinner both nights we stayed and felt it to be our best meals during our travels.

Summary: There was a mixup regarding one of the rooms we had reserved, though the mistake seems to have been on the part of Hotels.com or should I say Expedia, they showed me what Expedia sent them, I showed them what I reserved, NOT the same at all. Otherwise our stay was fine except the large triple room which became a small twin room with beds pushed together was very tight. We had a nice meal in their restaurant again with friendly helpful staff. The building itself is very lovely with some of the original features, though the rooms did not retain these features. The grounds are lovely, though we were there in January so were unable to enjoy them.

Summary: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food and service in the restaurant was very good. Unfortunately, the restaurant lacked atmosphere. It was so quiet, as well as hearing other peoples conversations we could also hear them crunching on their toast. We had to talk very quietly. We think that if they played some background music, it would make a big difference. Apart from that we really enjoyed our stay.

Summary: As a family of 6 adults, we had three very comfortable rooms at the hotel for two nights. We were able to enjoy a prix fixe menu in the restaurant one night which was inventive and had fabulous quality food. The breakfasts were copious and the availability of the heated pool enabled us to relax after sight- seeing in and around the Loire valley.
