Positive: The hotel is well located in the center of Bordeaux, our room was spacious with good air conditioning, and a spacious bathroom with walk in shower and two washbasins. The buffet breakfast was good, in particular the Orange juice, which is freshly squeezed.

Negative: The restaurant has a poor selection of dishes and is not well patronised,

Negative: When paying £205 for a room for one night and that was a discounted price , I thought it would be a luxury room but I was given a tiny room with a terrible drainage smell. The bin in the bathroom hadn’t been emptied from the last guest and the net curtains had two dead insects stuck to them .

Negative: The spa and gym both needed refurbishment and came at an extra cost - which is not satisfactory for a spa hotel. The spa booking system was also incredibly limited and inflexible - and the staff were also rather rude.

Negative: TV was completely disconnected on arrival and we had to call for assistance Shower in the bath is a cumbersome arrangement No view from room Rather distanced reception from staff, who had to ask if we had stayed there before (we had, so no reward for loyalty) Expensive as room only stay for January (low season) No frills offered (one bottle of water!)
