Summary: Staff were great. There were some minor Reno’s happening but it was just the lobby area. The room was a typical guest house room a bit larger than a typical hotel room. It was functional and clean.

Summary: A very nice guesthouse with a good location and very clean environment. My room was great and comfy. Loved the interior of the guest house as well as the outside environment with great views. All in all it was a great experience.

Summary: we were supposed to stay for two nights. The first night one of us went to take a shower and the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. The drain was clogged and the water was also leaking under the seal around the shower. When we told the desk, they gave us some extra towels to clean it up. Did not come in and fix it. They were booked so they couldn't move us. We decided to only stay one night and they would not give us the second night money back even though we couldn't even shower in the shower .

Summary: The room was clean with a nice view of the coastal area with grazing sheep just outside. The food at the restaurant was top notch and locally sourced. The outside of the guesthouse was eclectic with a main check in and housing area with a connected dining area, and a long building with several rooms as well as some newer looking separate cabins. We stayed in the long building in a triple that had 3 twin beds. The room was clean and everything worked well. The people that worked there were extremely courteous, helpful and friendly. I would stay there again. I thought that it was a value considering the prices that rooms on this part of Iceland go for.

Summary: We had a great stay at Guesthouse Gerði in Mid-June. It was a great location to serve as our base for a few days as we explored the southeast coast if Iceland. We stayed in a five person family room in the older building and while the room was tighte, it worked perfectly for what we needed, comfortable beds to sleep in. The staff was great and we loved to stillness of the area.
