Summary: Very close drive to Glacier Lagoon. Beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. Staff is very helpful. We were able to watch Norway and England match.

Summary: We had a great stay at Guesthouse Gerði in Mid-June. It was a great location to serve as our base for a few days as we explored the southeast coast if Iceland. We stayed in a five person family room in the older building and while the room was tighte, it worked perfectly for what we needed, comfortable beds to sleep in. The staff was great and we loved to stillness of the area.

Summary: Had all the basic necessities and the room, while small, was comfortable. The WiFi was inconsistent at times. The $24 breakfast could have been much better, especially for the price. Unfortunately, there are not many other food options nearby in the morning. The museum café up the road does make good food though, and I would recommend having dinner there..

Summary: Lovely little cottage hotel. Perfect for our family of 5, we each had our own bed. Its in a quiet location, which we enjoyed. There aren't many food options, so keep that in mind. But overall, our stay here was great. This was a convenient place just a 15 minute ride to the Jokulsarlon lagoon, where we started our glacier tour teh next day,

Summary: Close to Vatnajökull Park so very handy if staying in the area. I had a free upgrade to a cabin, which was superb. The other cabins looked ok from the outside. The hotel is quite near the sea, so a short walk will bring you to it. Warning there is no TV. They did internet but my cabin 13 couldn’t get it, although my own WiFi worked

Summary: Beautiful cabin. So new that it wasn’t 100% ready yet. Kitchenette sparsely stocked, wifi did not reach cabin; curtains not long enough to cover entire window in kitchen and bedroom. Needed a little more TLC then it would be a 5.
