Positive: -This is an authentic guesthouse hosted by a hospitable family. I joined them in the kitchen in some of our meals. One of family members spoke English but that person was only visiting town temporarily to visit them in the guesthouse. -They can help organize eagle demonstrations and taxi transportation to nearby canyons and other parts of town. -Their homemade breakfast was delicious. -Within 10-20 minute walking distance to Globus supermarket.
Negative: Communication can be a challenge due to language barriers (they speak Russian instead of English), but easily manageable with a translation app like Google Translate.

Positive: I had the best stay here, possibly my best sleep in central asia so far. The family were lovely and kind, and made sure I was always taken care of. They can organise to take you to Ak-Say or Fairytale canyons too. And the breakfasts were incredible! I am gluten free but they made pancakes and bread with rice flour especially for me. So thoughtful. Highly recommend 😊

Positive: I was welcomed into this lovely family with open arms. The house was exceptionally clean and the vibe was very nice. I had my own private room and the hosts were very accommodating, they were able to organise an eagle demonstration which was an incredible experience. They made me feel very comfortable and had an amazing free breakfast cooked with love

Positive: The family welcome me as a member of the family. Our exchanges were really interesting (they now better about Algeria and France and I know better about Kyrgyzstan 😄🇩🇿🇫🇷🇰🇬). I recommend 100%!

Positive: Location, quiet, but within walking distance of stores and downtown. A bench to sit outside in the yard. Clean and well maintained. The price is very reasonable, an excellent value for the money. The included breakfasts are amazing, there was a variety of food and very generous portions. We also had dinner at the guesthouse both nights and it was excellent as well, tasty, lots of food and great apricot juice from their own apricots. There was dessert food with every meal as well, if you have any room left for dessert. But the best of all was the host and her son and daughter. Everyone was so welcoming, we had wonderful conversations during the meals and learned more interesting things about Kyrgyzstan and answered whatever questions we had. The owner helped us with hiking plans and called a taxi for us. The daughter speaks English and German in addition to Kyrgyz and Russian. It feels like we made new friends. If we have an opportunity to come back to Bokonbaeva, we will definitely stay here again.
