Positive: it was close to a lot. i walked everywhere, docks for lobster & chowder, morimoto’s for breakfast, seadogs baseball. it has a nice little backyard for chillin. plenty of ideas for things to do if you need.

Negative: the bed is a bit on the firm side

Positive: -The number one thing is that the Host (Alan) was very responsive and had great recommendations for outdoor activities. -The location is great, probably a 30 minute walk tops from anything in downtown Portland. -Everything was clean, and he replaced our towels for us after a few days. -The week we were in Portland, it was pretty warm, but with the central a/c unit, the temperature in the apartment was perfect. -there's a good fridge. -there's a good work desk with dual monitors for the WFH people. -Internet seemed decent, although I didn't really have anything intensive to do other than check emails and look things up. -Decent TV that seemed to have most streaming services. I didn't really cycle through them all, but netflix and amazon worked (I don't have any streaming services myself, so it's nice when places have that set up already). -For the most part, pretty quiet. It is a basement apartment, so you will hear footsteps above you, but that stops after 10pm.

Negative: -There's plenty of seating options in the apartment, but I wish there was a little breakfast table to sit/eat at, maybe in place of the foosball table. Otherwise, you have to eat at the work desk or at the counter or use a side table. -Not really any type of kitchen. Just a microwave and a keurig. I guess that's all you really need, but if you are doing an extended stay, don't plan on being able to cook any meals. -They say there is room for a compact car to park in their driveway, but I have a Toyota Corolla (which is technically considered a compact car) and there is absolutely zero possibility it would have fit there without blocking the sidewalk. I think they mean a MINICOMPACT... something the size of a MINI cooper or a Mitsubishi Mirage or even a motorcycle. There is plenty of street parking though. -Shower felt a little cramped, not much you could do about that though. I'm only 5'11", so a bigger/taller person might be uncomfortable though. -One thing to note, on airbnb I've seen people complain about the stairs leading to the apartment... My partner and I were fine with them (we're in our 30's), but I think someone with a disability or someone elderly would have issues. -It is a finished basement. It's nice and they did a great job, but there are things like exposed piping, ect. I was totally fine with it, but someone that wants a perfect picturesque apartment for instagram probably wouldn't like it.
