Positive: The house was homely and the room was excellent. The location was beautiful. The food was pleasant.

Negative: The staff were not flexible or understanding over dietary requirements or accessibility..the menu was the same every day and the food rich. There was no fresh fruit readily available or nice things and extra kindnesses that make such an expensive stay good value. The management style felt rigid and not customer focused and this trickles down to the staff and impacts how customers feel.

Summary: Could have been fab...sadly lacked that extra mile for such a costly experience

Positive: The area is stunning, idyllic, and remote enough to recharge your batteries. The owner, the reception, and breakfast staff went above and beyond to make the stay incredibly comfortable. They made extra effort with my dog, such a friendly place. Seeing Golden Pheasants was a lovely surprise

Negative: It's not a dislike, but if you, or your dog, have mobility issues the upper rooms should be avoided, although very comfortable and spacious

Positive: Very lovely staff, beautiful property, VERY spacious and beautifully decorated and furnished rooms + the location is incredibly serene with a number of lovely walking paths in the area. The restaurant also serves an amazing dinner and high-tea at a very good rate. The breakfast was also delicious. If you are lucky for a serene and luxurious place to stay Greshornish House is the right spot.

Negative: Nothing could have been better.

Positive: The hotel has terrific shared facilities with great ambience. Our room was spacious and well appointed, and the bathroom was as-new. The hotel grounds are very pleasing, although the inclement weather during our stay meant we couldn’t make the most of the surroundings. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We dined in the hotel restaurant for breakfasts and dinners and found the meals to be of good quality. We had a 2 year-old and an infant in our family group, and the staff made provision for our needs without any fuss whatsoever. Overall, our expectations were met and we recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for some comfort and tranquility away from the main tourist areas on Skye.

Negative: We had no particular dislikes. Some members of our group found the dinner menu to be a bit more limited than they would prefer (due to their particular tastes) but enjoyed their meals nonetheless. The access road (really a track) to the hotel is generally single-lane with a few passing points but with almost no traffic.
