Positive: Beautiful homestay in a relaxing setting. The staff were very friendly and attentive. No request was too much trouble. Our room was large, clean and comfortable with a sea view. Would definitely recommend Green Homestay.
Negative: Small preference but would have liked to be closer to Cat Ba city.

Positive: Fantastic people work here! We read about Hanna in reviews before our arrival, and she was just as helpful and lovely as they say. They helped us arrange motorbikes for the day right at their homestay. The pool was beautiful! The room was spotless and we had the best view. It’s a peaceful and quiet area with really good food nearby and a short bus into the main town. Hanna helped us arrange transportation to there from Halong and later all the way to Cao Bang. Thanks again!

Positive: This was a wonderful place to stay. The homestay is located outside the main town, which made it incredibly peaceful and quiet while still being easy enough to reach everything by motorbike or taxi (warning no Grab so you'll need a local number). The owners and staff were always smiling, welcoming and happy to help with anything we needed including trips and activities. Another highlight was the food, which was excellent. Beds really comfy too! We found that our transfer coaches/buses droped and picked us up from the end of the road so we didn't need to get into town.
Negative: It was unfortunate to see that the nearby Xuan Dam Beach was covered in rubbish. It’s such a beautiful island, so it was quite sad to see the beach in that condition.

Positive: This was such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay outside of the main town. So quiet. The owners and staff always have a smile on their faces and ready to help and accommodate all your needs. Hannah is spectacular to help arrange anything you may want to do and motorbikes are available for rent at the property. Highly recommend Green Homestay if you are staying on Cat Ba Island.

Positive: Amazing place. The staff is super friendly and make you feel at home. They helped us organising our boat tour and bus to Hanoi. The food is great and not expensive. The place is super clean. We loved being outside the city center as it felt like a quiet retreat. It’s only a 15m scooter rider to the city and they rent scooters there. We will come back next time we’re in Cat Ba.
Negative: The neighbour was playing very very loud music / karaoke but not really the homestay’s fault. Otherwise everything was great.
