Positive: Bed was comfortable

Negative: There appeared to be a motion detector in the room. It felt intrusive. She was up when we left. Dropped my earring on the floor and it was very dirty under the bed but otherwise the room was clean. Host texted about water conservation while I was taking a shower. Didn't know there was a water shortage in Ireland. I did not see it until the next morning as my phone goes to sleep mode after 8 pm. We were charged at least double for a night's stay compared to the usual rate. I understand that it was booked last minute so ok. A one night stay and not near the center was over-priced for what it was. Then the snarky comment from the host to a possible guest stating that they hope the traveler finds a hotel within their budget for peak season. There are more such comments in the ratings if you care to look. We were tired and had not eaten. She was good about our late arrival as we had been traveling all day; giving her credit. However, we did not feel comfortable about the whole situation when we left. Should have paid to stay at a hotel; it wasn't peak season.

Positive: Great location, close to Gap of Dunloe and Carrauntoohill walking trails. Short drive to town to great restaurants and pubs.

Negative: All good. Nothing to dislike.
