Summary: This is my 2nd stay at the Great North Hotel. Both times I have found the hotel to be in great condition with spacious, comfy rooms and very friendly staff. I was not competing myself but was lovely to see snacks and water left out for the runners of GNR. Would recommend to friends.

Summary: Really good hotel. The room was very clean, spacious and quiet. Bed was large and comfortable. Shower was incredible, warm and spacious. Managed to get free charging for our EV. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Summary: There was an 18th birthday party in one of the function rooms, and some of those attending were staying in the hotel. They were extremely noisy all night, and inconsiderate of other hotel guests. It would have been better if those guests were kept to one floor, and anyone staying on the same floor should be warned. We barely slept. The room was spacious with the usual amenities; iron, hairdryer, tea/coffee, toiletries. However, the shower heads were filthy with black mould. They either need deep cleaned or completely replaced. The staff were friendly enough, but we didn't interact with the staff other than to check in and out.

Summary: Lovely modern, comfortable, clean hotel. Room was spacious and cool. Bed was big and very comfortable. Very quiet and plenty of parking. Staff are all very welcoming. We drank in the pub and had food from Pizza Dough, all good and reasonably priced. We have stayed before and am sure we will stay again.

Summary: Thank you very much for a relaxing stay. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly, the room was clean (thanks to Neli) and stocked with lovely necessities such as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand wash & hand cream - among other items to make our stay comfortable. We stayed on a Friday and Saturday night and found it to be relatively quiet. The info pack in the room was very informative. We booked in for the breakfast and enjoyed a hot option and buffet options. There is an onsite restaurant if needed. The car park was big and we didn't have any trouble finding a place to park. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again if in town. Many thanks again 😊
