Positive: Granite Cottage is a truly fantastic place to stay. It's in an ideal location, both being in Nethy Bridge which is a great village to stay in to access all the Highlands & Cairngorm have to offer, and within Nethy Bridge itself - close to the corner shop, the farm shop and walks/cycle from the door. The cottage itself is such a comfortable place to stay. Lots of space, warm and thoughtfully equipped. Plenty of parking too and we had bikes so it was good to be able to take them round the back of the house out of view. Kitchen well stocked with equipment and it's always appreciated when there are basics like salt & pepper, kitchen spray, cloths etc. Hot water bottles (not that we needed), books, games, cleaning equipment mean it really feels like a home from home.

Negative: Nothing!

Summary: A wonderful place to enjoy come rain or shine!

Positive: Excellent accommodation for our visit to Nethy Bridge. Brilliantly situated right at the centre of this quiet village, close to the shop and nearby walks. Impeccably clean and with a well equipped kitchen.

Negative: Initially some difficulty understanding the heating system, which did in fact work perfectly well during our September visit.

Positive: Fantastic location. Clean, comfortable facilities. Lots of space. Safe and quiet. Easy access to hiking in the nature reserve. Wonderful Nethy Cafe 2 blocks away. The River trail across the street was beautiful.

Negative: The heat was turned off until the winter months according to the guestbook. We were there in mid September and it was pretty cold for us. Most nights were in the single digits Celsius. They should allow the heat to be turned on whenever it gets cold. We found a tiny little space heater with a fan that we put in the kitchen and we spent our mornings and evenings in the kitchen. There was tea and instant coffee in the kitchen, but it would’ve been nice to have some sugar and maybe some spices and condiments for the kitchen.

Summary: Ideal base for exploring the highlands!
