Positive: I loved the atmosphere of this hotel. My husband convinced me to book because this hotel would be an experience, and he was right. The theme is really cool. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel was safe and secure. The area around the hotel is walkable, and Mammoth Cave National Park is not far at all.

Negative: I didn't like the train passing by every few hours. It wasn't even that loud, but it's definitely something to consider when staying here. Also something to consider when staying here is that the walls are thin, and you can definitely hear what others in the hotel are up to.

Summary: We loved staying here and have already recommended it to others.

Positive: The owners are considerably friendly and courteous. The Hotel has been restored and preserved in a manner that hearkens to a bygone era.

Negative: Depending on personal requirements the nearby train runs 2-4 times within 50 yards of the Hotel. This is probably a result of earlier decades when Railroad travel was common and neccessary. We found the train horn to be unnecessary in this particular location as there isn't any street cross traffic posible. However it would not be a dealbreaker! And we would certainly stay again.

Summary: A clean and good location from which to visit all the sites within a 20-35 mile area.
