Positive: The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when we had to change rooms due to construction outside our window. The rooms are clean and comfortable and nicely designed, the interior courtyard is lovely, and the coffee and pastries in the morning were very nice. It's in a quiet part of the city, very close to lots of great restaurants and easy walking distance to the old port area.

Negative: Our room had no storage (just some hooks for hanging things), safe or fridge, although there is a communal fridge in the lounge.

Summary: Interesting, friendly hotel in a great location.

Positive: Staff was wonderful, really nice and easygoing. The room was clean, colorful and I liked the bathroom.

Negative: Sadly, there was a lot of noise outside due to construction work. The room was great, but no dressing. Clothes could only be hunged, and it's not very effective.

Positive: This was my 11th hotel in 5 weeks and was by far my favourite. Brand new with incredibly comfy beds, high pressure showers, and unique decor. I was upgraded to a Juste Incroyable room with sensational views across Marseille. Fabulous, spacious room with a wonderful private terrace. Beautiful hotel garden and really appreciated the complimentary breakfast and room goodies to celebrate their first month. If you want to be away from the tourists, in a lovely little neighbourhood within 15 min walking distance to the port, with great neighbourhood brasseries and cafes, you can't go wrong. It's also convenient to take a bus to Cassis for a Calanque hike directly from Castellane, just around the corner. The team working there are all friendly and helpfulI. I loved my 3 night stay here and will be back.

Negative: If I had to say something, the pillows. But I really dislike the small square French pillows in general. And whilst the baggage lockers are very convenient, thinking these should be complimentary for hotel guests, if only for a couple of hours. But really, this is being picky.
